Nissan Thailand supported Children’s Day, to help build positive futures for children, families and communities living in Sisa Chorakhe Yai subdistrict, located next to Nissan’s manufacturing facilities in Samut Prakan. The Children’s Day activity has been organized for five years consecutively by Nissan Thailand at Phichit Island Village, within Sisa Chorakhe Yai subdistrict. This activity reinforces the company’s commitment to conducting business with social responsibility, providing support and education for the community’ children and working closely with community leaders.
This year, Nissan donated Nissan’s famous Nissan LEAF electric vehicle (EV) toy model, as a way to represent the future of mobility to the youth who are the future of the nation. At the event, Children and people in the community could learn about automotive innovations like EVs that can help reduce pollution and follow Thailand Government’s future direction towards electric vehicles. The children also enjoyed snacks, toys and gifts from Nissan as the event was held in accordance with the guidelines for measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections.
“Nissan is a responsible organization in every society in which we operate, including Thailand. With a commitment to support the communities where our customers, employees and suppliers work and live, we are delighted to continue to bring joy and education about the future of automotive innovation to the children of our local community. In line with the National Children’s Day’s day motto “Be thoughtful, be cautious, be responsible,” we are glad to have an annual Children’s Day activity as our tradition,” said Akkarapol Kaewpinit, Nissan Thailand’s Managing Director for Production.
