12 July 2021 – Bangkok – Suzuki Motor (Thailand) Co.,Ltd. will be organizing a special event during the Covid-19 pandemic under the “SUZUKI Cause We Care – More than care is the understanding of every need” campaign, where it will be inviting every dealership across the country to participate in the “Swift Power You Up Contest – A unique design that is totally you”, to encourage the dealerships to dress up their SWIFTs; the most popular sports hatchback eco car in Thailand, to attract likes and hearts from customers. The event is targeted to raise awareness and stimulate mid-year sales for Suzuki, while customers will also be heartened to vote for their favorite pick online to win three “iPhone 12 Pro 256GB” worth 40,900 baht each and 20 prizes of 30,000-baht cash coupons for Suzuki merchandise and after-sale services.
Mr. Minoru Amano, President of Suzuki Motor (Thailand) said, despite the Covid-19 situation becoming steadily more severe and has affected every sector equally, the Thai automotive sector has seen total sales of 377,256 units (calculated between January – June 2021), which is considered as an increase of about 14.79 per cent when compared to the figures from last year. He noted that out of the rise, Suzuki has taken a market share of around 2.82 per cent so far, and because of this, the company has been trying to provide further assistance to all of its dealerships in the country. It has decided to move forward with the plan to organize a special event to create awareness and continuously stimulate sales to help everyone push through the current ordeal. The “Swift Power You Up Contest” will not only encourage every dealership to participate in the competition to cement the model’s remarkable features but help to promote the various styles their SWIFTs can be ‘dressed up or accessorized’ to reflect the limitless imaginations.
Mr. Wallop Treererkngam, Executive Director for Sales and Marketing of Suzuki Motor (Thailand), meanwhile, noted that Suzuki has introduced the newest model of the NEW SUZUKI SWIFT since the start of 2021, where this NEW SWIFT has maintained the sports hatchback feel and distinguished design on the exterior. The model is unique, to say the least, and possess its own style unlike any other, which prompted Suzuki to set up this contest to excite every dealership to participate in emphasizing the NEW SUZUKI SWIFT’s image that it can cater to every lifestyle of the new generation; underscoring that this is a sports-like automobile at an affordable price. He said the main objective of the competition is to inspire customers who also like to accessorize their cars to get creative when decorating their SWIFTs. The dealerships will compete in a ‘Custom Style’ contest, where the ‘dressing up’ must also be practical for every day use. Thus far, the dealerships have sent in 83 units to join in the contest. Only top 8 from the participating vehicles will be selected for the final round. Customers, in the meantime, are encouraged to vote for their favorite look online via www.swiftcontest.com from 19-31 July 2021. The winners of the competition will be announced on 6 August 2021.
The winners of the first to third places will have their accessorized New Suzuki SWIFT put on display for the world to see at the 38th Thailand International Motor Expo 2021, scheduled to be held at the Impact Challenger, Muang Thong Thani from 1-12 December 2021.
